FAQs

Wax Melts

    What are wax melts?

A wax melt is a scented piece of wax, which when heated in a wax burner or warmer, will melt into a pool of the burner/warmer dish emitting a beautiful fragrance throughout your home. A wax melt is essentially a wickless candle designed to give a stronger fragrance release.

Unlike a candle, the wax from a wax melt will not be 'used up' or burnt away, it can be re-melted many times to continue to enjoy the aroma. Once all of the fragrance has spent, the old wax is removed and replaced with fresh melts.

The mood-enhancing qualities of aroma can create a relaxing, comforting and warming ambience, or provide an invigorating boost to energise your day.

    Instructions:

    • Ensure your burner is specifically approved for wax use.
    • Place your burner/warmer on a heat resistant, well ventilated surface away from draughts.
    • Place your wax melt into the empty dish of the burner.
    • Place a 4hr unscented tea-light into the base of the burner and light.
    • The wax will melt in the burner dish, but not evaporate, releasing a beautiful fragrance throughout your home.

    To remove wax:

    • When all of the fragrance has spent, ensure the wax has cooled & hardened.
    • Light a tea light in the base of the burner for approximately 30-60 seconds.
    • Gently press the hardened wax disc at one edge to remove and wipe out the dish of the burner.
    • Never use a knife or other sharp object to remove wax as this may cause damage to your burner.

    Wax melt safety

    • Always place your burner on a heat resistant, well ventilated surface, away from draughts and flammable materials.
    • Do not use with a tea-light that burns for more than 4hrs.
    • Do not try to move your burner once lit, the top of the vessel may become extremely hot.
    • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
    • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
    • When the fragrance is spent, allow wax to cool and harden before removing.

How long do wax melts last?

Wax melts can be re-melted many times to continue enjoying the infused aroma. How long wax melts last depends on the melts you're using. Our wax melts are known for lasting 2-3 times longer than many store bought melts.

We recommend a maximum burn-time of 4hrs at any one time. Our melts last approximately three 4hr burns (12 hours total per melt). If using our wax melt hearts, pop two hearts into your wax burner for the optimum scent throw. Our five-piece snap bars carry 60hrs of aroma. Our clamshells which consist of 6 melts, will fragrance your home for over 70hrs and our large sample box carries over 140hrs of aroma burn time.

    Reed Diffusers

To get the most out of your reed diffuser, we recommend following our care instructions below.

      1. Carefully remove the stopper.
      2. Place the reeds inside the reed diffuser. We use fibre reeds which are purposefully porous, this allows the liquid to be gradually absorbed, slowly moving up the reeds before scenting the surrounding air.
      3. To avoid spillage, we recommend placing your diffuser in a location where it will be least likely to be knocked over by humans/pets.
      4. To protect your furniture, we strongly recommend placing a protective mat or plate beneath your reed diffuser to avoid surfaces being damaged. Reed diffuser liquid can cause permanent staining or marking when in contact with polished or synthetic surfaces, as well as soft furnishings and wall paper.
      5. We use high-quality fiber reeds which are designed not to clog, therefore they do not require weekly turning. However, you can turn your reeds whenever you wish to boost your fragrance, taking care not to allow any drops of liquid to land on any surrounding furnishings.
      6. When all of the liquid in your reed diffuser has evaporated, wash the vessel with warm soapy water and purchase a refill here.

My diffuser is too strong: Remove some reeds to reduce its power or relocate your reed diffuser to a larger room.

My diffuser is too weak: Add additional reeds if available or turn your reeds to boost your fragrance. If attempting to scent a large space, you may require an additional diffuser in opposite corners of the room.
